Job Description
We are looking for a PHP Developer to join our team and work on delivering an updated, performant product that is well tested for one of our clients. For this role, you’ll need to have a deep understanding of WordPress and WooCommerce. A willingness to learn new development processes on the job such as automated testing.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop plugins for internal and external projects
- Build scalable, maintainable and extensible code
- Follow industry standards and best practices for clean code
- Leverage WordPress and WooCommerce APIs to modernise the code base
- Understand PSR-4 coding standards
- Troubleshoot and fix reported bugs
- Commenting and writing technical documents when required
- Work closely with the product leads and testing team
Skills and Experience
- 2+ years experience building WordPress plugins or equivalent
- Great attention to detail and creative problem solver
- Experience managing the product life cycle is a bonus
- Great English writing and communication skills
- Understanding of complex data structures and MySQL
- Experience working in remotely distributed teams is a bonus
- Experience with Laravel
Job Skills

- Bachelors in IT/Computer Science
- Experience writing automated tests (Unit, E2E)
- Contributed to WordPress plugins previously
- Built a WordPress theme or plugin from scratch
